Welcome to our revolution! Interior designers are uniting around the world to make a change for the profession, and ensure that we are seen as a profession. We are not hobbyists or merely people with a "good eye" or good taste. We are planners, coordinators, artists, technical detailers, marketers, and professional business people.

The interior design profession varies as much as the field of medicine, law, and science. Some interior designers flip homes. Some decorate using furnishings and decor. Some focus on the interior architecture. Some will design complete homes, up to 4,000 square feet! At this point, we don't necessarily have different titles to differentiate one type of designer from another. But, it is important for clients to know what they want and what they are looking for when they approach a designer so that we understand whether we can meet those needs.

Our intention with this blog is to bridge that gap between client and designer in a way that is real, vs. what we see every day in the media constantly creating a misperception and general confusion about where to go, what to ask, and who to work with for renovation and new construction projects.

To start off, here are a couple great links, and a video. Enjoy!
